We realized that some of our west facing original 32 year old windows were at the end of life. A driving rain storm proved it.Van Isle Windows, a fully made in Victoria Canada company was our first choice. From contact to home visits for measurements and estimate, we were able to say that we wouldn’t waste time getting off-island or non-Canadian estimates. The process was so much better than we were expecting and we had expected a lot! Nate was our designer/advisor and he took us through the selection, build and installation arrangements. We chose triple pane units that are so much more modern than the old ones.On installation day, our service team arrived as promised and lept into action. Cam, Sean and Vitalii prepared the house and old windows for demolition with tarps and pads. Their biggest challenge was second floor work off a deck canopy. They braced and covered the aluminum and acrylic so that there was no possibility of damage. Day one was finished and everything was ready for day two after a thorough cleanup. Day two went as well and windows were installed, blinds rehung and home security reactivated. We received a thorough “walk through” of the units. Everything was returned to us even cleaner and better than before. To give an idea of how satisfied we are, we have made an appointment with Nate to get rolling on phase two, all the remaining windows, right away, rather than waiting this next year. Thanks to VIW for a very satisfying experience!Ted and Cheryl
We are very happy with the 23 windows installed by Vanisle Windows. Our home updated the dble pain aluminum windows for dble pain vinyl windows. As you can see from the photos, our Hydro usage has dropped daily by 20%!! This is exactly why we chose to update the windows, for the environmental impact and Bill savings.Having a quote in home and being able to see products in their showroom was great. The staff member Jordan answered all our questions and was prompt when replying to an email. We were very happy with his recommendations and knowledge during the planning process. The installation was professional with the installers. They were respectful to our home and layed mats over the carpets. They cleaned up daily and when the job was done, the rooms and windows were clean. Thanks VanIsle Windows!
Truly professional organization from sales to installation. They were able to meet our tight schedule, when others could not. Issues encountered during installation were dealt with promptly. Not the cheapest, but we feel that we got good value for our money.Would use again and recommend to others.??????
Their sales people in Nanaimo prioritize profit over integrity, and they potentially abuse the CleanBC program, charged one single 20.5" x 32.5" window at $1934.38, while other suppliers quoted less than half of it. The people came to install the window were nice enough, but the sales manager Chris Lamothe's respond to the whole situation was disappointing, the information he provided was inaccurate and did not match the actual facts. On top of over charging, he asked for more money to finish the job (see picture) even though the technician said he would come back to finish it, sales wanted more money, then used threats when disagreed. this kind of behavior should not be tolerated by consumer, will report to authorities. And their respond in my other review is full of lies. Their technician inspected my small window before the order was finalized and explicitly promised it would be installed to exactly match the high-quality windows they did downstairs 5 years ago That's why I paid $2,000 for a tiny window instead of Home Depot's $560 + labour—for presumed expertise and a complete, professional job. On installation day, the team and office repeatedly assured me that they will come back to finish it, but sales want more money. They left the window unfinished, mismatched, and frankly embarrassing. Photo attached: This is what $2,000 buys here, for one single 20.5" x 32.5" window. What do you guys think of that?Worse, their inflated pricing seems designed to exploit the Clean BC rebate program, burdening taxpayers while shortchanging customers. I've reported them to authorities for investigation.Do not trust them, choose a reputable competitor. Save your money and stress. I will also report this to consumer protection and BBB for further investigation.Attached photos showing job undone and home depot quote for exact same window for comparison.Truth speaks loud and clear.#AvoidThisCompany #WindowRipOff #CleanBCWarning
Couldn’t be happier with Van Isle Windows for the excellent work building and installing our new windows. The service was outstanding from beginning to end, and all of the windows were made on the Island. Thanks especially to Bob at Van Isle for making this such a positive experience from the initial estimate and measurements, to the final installation. Highest recommendation!
