We had a wonderful experience with H&W. Their technician Doug did an excellent job replacing our windows’ balance rods so now they open, shut and stay in place with ease. He also gave me great maintenance tips on lubrication and keeping the windows working well for many years to come. If you are having trouble with your windows, they are the best to call! Suzi in the front office was very responsive and helpful throughout the process and the pricing was extremely reasonable. I would give them 100 stars if I could.
Called this company due to their "great reviews" only to be met be absolutely atrocious service! I was in need of replacing a large window in my home that had been accidentally broken and shattered, I let them know that replacing this window was my immediate and urgent need. I also let them know that I had other, similar windows in my home that I was also interested in replacing and that my project could become a much larger one. They scheduled me for someone to come out and collect the necessary measurements/information to write an estimate, the gentlemen who did this was friendly and easy to chat with but gave me bad info. Specifically, he told me the window replacement had to come in from the outside by cutting through my concrete stucco which I thought was much harder than coming from the inside which required the more simple removal of the window frame/casing. He emphasized it was "much easier" from the outside despite it being a lot more work which were totally conflicting statements. I learned from several other companies who provided me an estimate that he was likely suggesting that to increase the labor cost and jack up their estimate.Speaking of their "estimate" -- it never came! I was promised to receive something within 24-hours and I had to call their office 3-days later to check on it. The woman I spoke to told me that they needed to send 2 more technicians to my home to do a more thorough review of the job; I asked her why no one called me to inform me about this, especially when I made it clear that I needed this job expedited due to having a large broken out window in my home!? She didn't have a reply and there was dead silence... I then mentioned that I had called H&W because they were highly reviewed and that my experience to this point was not matching those positive reviews. She told me point blank: "we are not a company for everyone so you need to go with a different company" -- WOWOWOWOW!!!!!!Thank you for the tip, miss! I absolutely intend to "go with different company" and I suggest to anyone reading this review to do the same!!!!!!!UPDATE 8-26-24In regards to the follow-up message from this company trying to defend themselves from this bad review, specifically their comment that the "scope of your job being out of our capabilities" -- what a bunch of non-sense, phony baloney! The name of your company is H & W Windows & Repair Services - I had a window that needed repaired/replaced, it's not like I called you to my home to fix my washer and dryer. Mine is a simple job and I found a great company who can do it within a few weeks compared to months from now. I'll be certain to leave them a great review once the job is completed, they've been absolutely 5+ stars so far!
There is a reason I use h&w for all my glass needs. I have been using them for several years now. Last night out of the blue my friends sliding glass door shattered. Not only did they have the pane in stock but also installed it into the frame for us. I appreciate their service and quality very much. Thank you H &W windows & repair services.
