After investing nearly $70,000 in window replacements with Renewal by Andersen, I expected a professional, coordinated, full-service experience. What I received instead was poor communication, lack of oversight, and a project that I largely had to manage myself.

From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and reactive.

The very first scheduled day for scaffolding installation was canceled without any notice. I received no call, email, or text. I only discovered the cancellation after calling the office myself. I also contacted the representative who scheduled the appointment in December and never received a response.

During the sales process, I clearly stated that I did not want ladders or foot traffic on my tile roof or on my newly installed aluminum patio cover. This concern was discussed prior to signing the contract and again when the crew arrived (a day late). I raised it yet again before installation began and was told their “hands were tied.” For a project at this price point, previously discussed conditions should not be dismissed on installation day.

There were also coordination issues with inspections. A city inspector arrived to inspect the full replacement window before the work had even begun. That should not happen on a properly managed permitted job.

The crew finished early on a Saturday, yet my stucco and drywall were left incomplete for several days with no communication about completion. I had to follow up repeatedly.

The only time I received a call back was after submitting an internal negative review.

When installation was finally completed, I conducted the walkthrough inspection alone, without a project manager present or even a person available by phone. For a permitted, high-value project, that lack of support during closeout is unacceptable.

Now, I am still waiting on the final city inspection. As this project required permits, it is typically the contractor’s responsibility to pull permits, coordinate inspections, ensure compliance, and obtain final sign-off. To date, I have received no clear communication confirming whether Renewal by Andersen is scheduling and managing the final inspection or if I am expected to handle it myself.

For a company that markets itself as premium and professional, the project management and communication did not reflect that standard. The installers themselves worked hard, but the oversight, scheduling coordination, and customer communication fell significantly short of what should be expected on a $70,000 contract.

If you are considering Renewal by Andersen, be prepared to actively manage your own project, follow up frequently, and ensure inspections and closeout procedures are properly handled.

At this price point, customers should not be left chasing basic communication or coordinating elements of a permitted construction project themselves.

I expected a seamless, professionally managed experience. That is not what I received.

In June 2023, we had eight windows replaced in our home by Renewal by Andersen, and our experience was excellent from start to finish.

Christopher J., our salesperson, did a wonderful job walking us through the window options and showing us samples. His knowledge and professionalism gave us confidence in moving forward with the project.

AJ C. and Rafael P. handled scheduling and measurements, and they made the process smooth and easy. Renewal by Andersen was also very accommodating when we requested that installation be completed in one day to meet our needs.

On June 16, 2023, a team of six installers arrived. Mike, Max, and Velgin installed the front windows, which were larger and more complex. Their skill and precision were impressive, especially given the size and weight of the units. They also installed the patio wood and bathroom windows.

Jose, David, and Steven handled the west-side windows. Jose R., the Project Manager, completed a bedroom window that required stucco cutting to meet current fire codes. His workmanship was first-rate, and the finished result looks beautiful.

During installation, a cracked bedroom window and patio lock were identified. Burtiny Carter promptly arranged for replacements after we sent photos, and both were replaced on October 18, 2023. We also appreciated Christynn in Permits for her assistance.

The windows have exceeded our expectations in quality and appearance for over two and a half years. We are very pleased and highly recommend Renewal by Andersen for their professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding workmanship.

Renewal by Anderson has been amazing. My installers, Edgar, Nelson, and Ivan were so courteous and helpful. They cleaned up beautifully and were so respectful and kind. They even brought in my groceries that had been delivered. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And their work was beautiful.

Juan and his crew were professional, friendly, on time, and did amazing work. All of the work was done with great care of craftmanship and cleanliness. They did an excellent job of keeping us informed, and even worked directly with another contractor that we hired to do a major modification that replaced a swinging rear door with a sliding glass door and window. The house looks amazing!
