Excellent experience from initial contact through to completion of the installation. We requested quotes from several companies and Shield provided the quote that best met our needs and budget. My wife had noticed that Shield continually had good reviews on the local online threads regarding window companies and installation experiences, and Shield lived up to that reputation. At the initial contact, they listened to what we were looking for including grates and colours, designed something that worked for our request, and then followed through on the installation, on time and budget. And regarding the install, I can't imagine a more completely or flawless install done by anyone anywhere. I was expecting to do additional finishing work after they left but there was nothing more to do. They were very transparent during the install explaining issues they found with the old frames once the old windows were removed and how they resolved them. They insulated and finished framed everything expertly. During the two weeks of the install every night they always left the site clean and tidy. We had thirty-three LoE Duxton windows and doors installed, including a Sunroom with nine large 5 foot by 6 foot windows, and in that space all nine windows were all lined up perfectly and finished beautifully. I'm a civil engineer who does a lot of my own home maintenance and construction and it felt like the Shield team treated the window install for our home like it was one of their own; there was that much care and attention paid to the end product. I would highly recommend Shield to anyone.

Straight talking people! With a product way ahead of the crappy vinyl windows on the market. these are high end very well made windows with the installation team that were top notch and took the time needed to show their Craftsmanship.When I myself did the interior installation ( as I'm a Woodworking craftsman myself) I found that the care they took to get the windows centred in it's space was basically bang on making my job much easier.If you are keeping your home for a long time and understand that top quality windows with insulated fibreglass frames aren't cheap.But in the long run with the fibreglass frames not moving like the vinyl ones that cause seal leakage, well then you can understand why I picked this product.Anyone who builds windows in Winnipeg know a thing or two about cold Canadian winters!!!

Professional Service and a Beautiful TransformationWe had a fantastic experience from start to finish. After getting 4 different quotes, Shield was right in line with the others and given the product offered it made sense to go ahead. David and crew were great to work with throughout the process. We were initially a bit concerned about our bold color choice (we were trying to match existing wood widows) for the new windows, but they turned out perfectly and have truly transformed our living room. We're also very happy with the new doors and windows; they are incredibly solid and have made the room much quieter.
