TLDR: The white-collar side of this company seems to have a bit to learn about the trade and just in general, so that requires patience, but the blue-collar side is solid as can be. Big shout out to Dave.Scheduled an appointment for a free estimate with Nathan. He asked if I could set aside an hour of my time for the consultation which was scheduled two weeks out from my inquiry. Day of the consult, they no-called-no-showed. I reached out 30 minutes after no one showed up and according to them "someone" had called me the day before the consult at which point I mentioned I wanted to cancel. This never happened. He tried to verify my phone number with me (as I'm texting him mind you) which is when I found out they called a completely different person and that random person cancelled my appointment. I'll be the first to admit that everyone makes mistakes, but wow. Maybe I'm a one-off but if you value your time and want good communication look elsewhere.Update: I was contacted several days after leaving my initial 1-star review by the owner, Dylan. He was very apologetic and understanding of my frustration and went so far as to offer compensation to make up for the lost time. Instead, I suggested that I'd give them the opportunity to quote/do work if they didn't waste any more of my time. Dylan showed up that same day to quote the work, which he graciously cut me a deal on. We signed off on the work, and I was told I'd be getting a call to schedule within the next two weeks. Exactly two weeks from that day I got on the schedule. Dave came out for the install and was great. He has good communication and really seems to have this down to a science. Unfortunately, the measurements taken during the quote were not technically correct and the window couldn't be installed without potentially causing damage to the poured foundation. So, another window had to be made, and the install got pushed back another week. But finally, with a finished product I can say I am satisfied with the work and the price, just not with everything leading up to it.
I was referred to Evolve (Glass Block Headquarters) by a longtime family friend who raved about the glass block basement windows they installed for her and their customer service reps and schedules are very polite and professional, so I can't wait to see the windows they install for us in 2 weeks.2nd review, today's installation (7/30/25):I was SO impressed with the fast quality work done by Ron. He was SO professional and personable with us and completed SIX beautiful glassblock windows in about 3 hours, all while entertaining my husband's jokes and questions. Ron was AWESOME! Great price and we LOVE our new windows, thank you.
I had the work done during the winter months so the ground was still frozen. The weather had no impact and the work was finished and the outcome was great.I have to mention one particular employee (Jose) the finish carpentry was awesome, great job
I had a glass block window installed in my shower and couldn’t be happier with the result. Robert from Evolve Egress & Exteriors was absolutely incredible—he gave me spot-on recommendations for the window and went above and beyond with advice that truly elevated the final look of my bathroom. He even visited multiple times just to answer questions, which I really appreciated. The window itself is high-quality, the installation was clean and professional, and all the finishing work looks beautiful—especially how flush it is with the tile. I had a great experience and will definitely be using them again for more glass block windows in my basement!
The house I brought years back had old original windows that probably never been replaced. I had several quotes from different companies and I couldn’t remember if hired GBH at another house I had many years ago but there price was reasonably lower than the other 4 companies. I had 3 windows on each side of the basement so total of 6. Two were solid up front, next were vented and my last window facing driveway was with the dryer vent. Jason was the installer and been with the company for years and he knew his work. I was very pleased with his performance. I thought there was gonna be a crew out to be done quick but he was the only one and got done quicker than expected. Nice friendly worker and pointed out what he did and what I can do to frame it out when I put the drywall in. I have another single window to do later and definitely will be GBH to do it. Very happy with the look and quality. I would recommend this company.
