The windows are amazing! The crew arrived early and spent the day replacing 18 windows. Our house is older so we appreciate the craftsmanship of these new windows. We appreciate the time and actual trade skill the installation crew took with each window. The manager showed up after half a day to be sure the windows and crew were meeting our expectations- that never happens nowadays. This company cares about their product and the customer. Very pleased - windows are great quality and ten thousand times better than what we had. Highly recommend!!!!
This is the worst on going nightmare we have ever experienced. Windows were supposed to be in mid Oct. and here we are in Feb. still dealing with UWD. Windows measured three times but still incorrect, no one will return phone calls, emails or come on site to see the comedy of errors. The company simply does not care about their reputation, quality of work or the customer. I could never recommend them to anyone. My only hope is the last few windows get installed correctly and the ones that were ordered incorrectly arrive correct. Mind you, there is a three to four week wait period for the newly ordered windows to arrive even though it was UWD mistake. Very little help if any, from Tyrone McNair, Mike Tucker, Nick Silvano Brian Hagen, Joe Ricklefs or Josh Ventry. As you can see we have reached out to many asking for some understanding why the job is going so wrong. It has taken a string of emails and phone calls to get anyone to even acknowledge the fiasco. We finally received an email last night after sending many, and was granted a phone call this morning at 10:00AM with Nick Silvano. Please understand their office is located in Charlotte about 30 mins from us and no one has even cared to come on site. We are replacing a total of 36 windows which is not a small job. This survey was sent to me thinking the project had been completed.
I could not be happier. From initial visit with sales to waving bye to the installers everything was outstanding. You can tell the crew has worked together a long time. They anticipated each other. My living room went from 4 windows to two so involved removing a center post. I thought there'd be a mess, but other than the sparkling clean (yes, they cleaned the windows!!) you couldn't tell they'd been here! Best pricing, best service, best install. You will not be disappointed in selecting Universal Direct!!
Universal Windows is the way to go ! They are affordable and the installers they sent out were awesome ! They started at 10:30 and done by 2:30 ! They were friendly neat and cleaned up as they went! I thought I’d have to do cleaning after but nope they did it all ! Highly recommended !!! Thank you all ! We love our new windows !!!!
Poor installation job. There’s caulk everywhere and they left an opening where the window style was changed. The area where they damaged the window on the seal, they just filled it with chalk. The chalk job it’s self was terrible there’s not a consistent bead done. Found a rip in the new screen. Customer service is a joke. Called your 800 # and got the run around. Submitted an email with photos and have heard nothing. I will never use your company again. You have earned a one star rating.
